Week 22

Week 22

This week is the last week of the term 2. And we need to shows our video in seminar. It includes all the information what we want to shows to the clients. However, I think we do not have a satisfactory work, because some key points we cannot combine report and video. Because sometimes I cannot contact with my members, so we do ourselves work. The bad communication lets the video’s quality is not high. On the other hand, this is our first time to work with company, so sometimes we cannot understand what the clients want we do. And I think the video is not the effective way to show what we do, I think do a factual presentation may be better than these.

On the other hand, I found I should continue to improve my English. Now I can talk with others in some relax environment. However, in the question time, I feel nervous, so I am not understand clearly about tutor’s question. After the question time, I know I can do it well. In this term, I meet lots of problems, through tutor’s help and myself, I developed myself to overcome it. I also know I need to promote me in the next year in time-management, academic English and problem-solving.

Week 21

Week 21

In this week, I think I got a very precious experience. I am negotiating with the manager in local restaurants. This is my first time to talk with them in business. Through this experience, I know if you want to do a successful negotiation, you must to collect enough information about your targets. And you should find some useful information about your targets. Such as, demand, challenge, competitors, strength and more. When you can understand your goals like you know yourself. You will have a change the succeed. Although this time I am not achieved my goals. But these experiences let me improve a lot. Next time, I will not be nervous when I meeting with businessman, and I will know what I should prepare. These are helpful for me to work in the future.

And I was finished my report.  through this report I learnt two methods in market research primary and second. And I learnt a theory about analysis company, it is Porter’s Five. 

Week 20

Week 20

In this week, I show my report to Kate and received useful advises. The first is I am not paying attention it is a report, so I am not using the third person to write. Then Kate gives me some advise to improve my report structure. At first, I think I just need to analyze the shoot business’ primary and second research. Kate suggested me to add the analysis of the local restaurants and department of university. I remember it, because I think my writing is not well. So this will let me know some key points in report structure.

I think because of this term I am very busy, so some times I cannot follow my time management. However, this two weeks I make a plan and told myself I must finish it. The result is I finish it in high quality, I know the time management it really very important and useful in my life. So I will keep it. 

Week 19

Week 19

In this week, we are in the review week, in the seminar tutor answer us the questions. This week gives us a huge help. Because our group just has myself in class, however, my English is not very good. So sometimes, I will miss some information. in this class, I know I need to make a primary and second research. So we meet together to discuss. I make a questionnaire to local restaurants and student. It develops my skill in it, however, I think I also need to improve it. I think the questionnaire is very important for us to analyze data. So I will try to study how to make useful questionnaire in the next year. And I believe it will help me in working.

On the other hand, continue to practice the communication is good for me. Now, I can understand what the tutor and members clearly. 

Week 18

Week 18

In this week, tutor shows the brief of the assignment 2. I wrote many notes to help me did a good work. The most important is this document let me know what I have done and what I need to do. Through the term 1, I know I am good at the PDR and reflection. However, for term 2, our team work is not well. So we need to work harder than now. we just have a few weeks to work. In this term, I think when I did the peer assignment I will pay more attention to it.

On the other hand, I know we need to start to make a video. It should include all the information about the research.

In this week, I learnt if I want to write a creative, I need to have a creative thinking. However, I think it is a challenge for me, because I think I do not have the creative think. It is hard for me. Tutor shows ‘creative is just connecting things, and creative people did not really do it, they just saw something.’ In truth, I am also confused about it. I do lots of research on this, however, I think it is very hard. So I try to ask for others, I got some draft about how to write it. I think it is useful. Through this thing, I think I also developed my skill in ‘problem solving’, when I meet some problem, I learnt I need to find more than one way to solve it. And communication is important and necessary.

This skill is helpful for my future, in the work, if you meet some questions or problem. You cannot just try to overcome by yourself. Find some information to work out or ask some people who have experience in it is necessary. It also can reduce your time cost and improve the effective.

Week 16

In this week, I learnt some points of digital marketing 2017 in seminar. Now the digital marketing is very important in marketing. For us, we must understand and learn how to use the digital platforms. For example, we can through the digital platform to do the personality promotion to increase sales.

However, there are some problem in our group. I found just I have a great attendance. It means other two people are not know some new and important information about seminar. So after the class, I use the Facebook to communicate with them. Although it helps me to increase the English and responsibility. Nevertheless, I think it serious. On the other hand, it is a good experience for me, it lets me know in this situation, I need to try to communicate with tutor to know the clear mission for every week, it promises we can finish our work. And I also need to talk with members, try to let them come in class to work together.
